Mapua Cardinals cager Adrian Clarence Nocum shows tenacity in NCAA season 98

Perseverance, resiliency, and the will to win amidst difficulties are qualities that Mapua Cardinals player Clarence Nocum possesses. Let us take a glimpse of this future superstar’s preparations for his basketball career and more.

Born Adrian Clarence Go Nocum on August 10, 1999 in Manila to Mr. Anthony P. Nocum and Ms. Ma. Cecilia G. Nocum, the 6-foot cager now plays as shooting guard to Mapua Cardinals in the NCAA.

Aside from playing basketball, Clarence is also fond of watching tv and being on tiktok. His idols in basketball are NBA legend Kobe Bryant and in the PBA, he looks up to Scottie Thompson. “Bata palang ako Kobe na talaga yung favorite ko. Yung tipong itatapon mo nalang sa basurahan yung kalat mo isho-shoot mo pa sabay sigaw ng Kobe!!!!” said Clarence.

His career high in points is 44 during his stint in UDM in their ALCU league. Asked about one of his most unforgettable games, “Nung nasa UDM (Universidad de Manila) pa ako liga namin nun is ALCU (Association of Local Colleges and Universities) ginanap sa Lipa, Batangas. Hindi ko makakalimutan kasi first time kong maging varsity , first time kong maka winning shot at first time ko din ma injury sa basketball”, quipped Clarence.

His ambition in life is to be a professional basketball player. Adrian Clarence is also a well-known social media personality having more than 57k followers on Instagram and 319k followers on tiktok. With perseverance, determination and unwavering faith in God, the future looks bright for this lad whose humility speak volumes of his character inside and outside of the hard court.
