After two school years, students once again back to school. It is a known fact that ever if school did not stop during pandemic, home schooling was not enough to give the necessary learning to students. This is one of the reasons why the Mathematics Department of Col. Lauro D. Dizon Memorial Integrated High School included the “Back to Basic” portion in their daily lesson as a routinary exercise for students to refresh their basic knowledge in Arithmetic – such as memorizing and reciting the multiplication table and also addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division of integers, whole numbers, decimals, and fractions. The department believes that mathematical abilities are easily achieved through a deep and thorough knowledge of the basics.

It is the school’s fervent hope that this school years initiatives will be of great help to its learners. The pandemic should not be hindrance for education to continue.
