The meeting, which also included Congressman Arman Dimaguila—a long-time advocate for flood mitigation—and other local officials, aims to develop a sustainable and effective flood management plan with support from the private sector.

“Thank you very much, Sir Ramon Ang, for your concern for our fellow Lagunenses,” said Governor Aragones. “We will work closely together to gradually resolve this flooding issue.”

While specific details of the proposed solution have yet to be disclosed, Ang assured that SMC is ready to provide technical and financial assistance without burdening the provincial government’s funds.

Dimaguila also expressed his support for the initiative, highlighting the importance of private-sector involvement and government cooperation in addressing Laguna’s flooding crisis.
