CALAUAN, Laguna -The Provincial Government of Laguna under the leadership of Governor Ramil L. Hernandez, through the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office (PSWDO), held a film showing for physically challenged individuals or Persons with Disability (PWDs) of Calauan at the Municipal Conference Hall on 22 August 2024, in post celebration of National Disability Rights Week (NDRW).
A movie with actors playing hearing impaired individuals was shown to more than one hundred (100) PWDs to help them learn how to cope with their physical handicaps; create relationships that will foster encouragement and hope despite the odds; and raise public awareness in terms of showing kindness to and respect for PWDs.
The activity, led by Provincial Disability Affairs Office (PDAO) headed by Mr. Leody Almanza, is one of the programs of PSWDO which extends services to help PWDs in terms of their physical, spiritual, social, and mental needs.
