A total of 100 hygiene kits were distributed by the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) to Barangay Bantug, Talavera, Nueva Ecija on June 11, 2025, as part of the agency’s Gender and Development (GAD) program.

The turnover ceremony was led by PCSO Corporate Department Manager and GAD Focal Point Chairperson Atty. Anna Liza P. Inciong. The kits were received on behalf of the barangay by Romulus Orena, representative of Barangay Chairman Miguel Baldomero.

According to Orena, the hygiene kits are a significant help to the women in their community. “Maraming salamat po sa PCSO. Nawa’y mas marami pa kayong matulungang mga barangay na katulad naming mga umaasa at lubos na nangangailangan ng ganitong klaseng tulong,” he expressed.

This initiative is part of PCSO’s ongoing commitment to its Gender and Development program, which aims to uplift and empower vulnerable sectors, especially women, by addressing their essential needs and promoting inclusive community development.
