The success and failure of the school depends on the kind of school principal it has.
Yes, this indeed is true, as these school principals are involved in all aspects of the school’s operation. They play integral roles in making school process in order, aligned of course with their school vision and mission.
As key leaders, they are responsible for providing leadership in the development and implementation of all educational programs and projects in the school, they should carry out effective plans of action to ensure that the school is taking its part on achieving the government’s aim that is to provide quality basic education for all.
On the other hand, it is said that the everyday life of principals is dealt with changes and challenges. But no matter what they face, or how complex the situation may be, what is important is how they handle and resolved it. They should possess positive qualities and leadership skills in managing the school operations to ensure quality development and quality assurance. To achieve this, they must undergo series of leadership trainings that will enhance the quality of school leadership they already possess.
Fast forward today and even during the strike of the corona virus outbreak, the role of school principals, became more visible. They do not only focus on learning continuity but also in providing a safe learning environment for their teachers and learners. The part they are playing is so vital in the achievement of the department adjective amidst and after pandemic, and now that that we are slowly getting back to normal, they’re role becomes more evident and complex than ever particularly in the delivery of our Learning Recovery plans that aims to bridge the learning gaps brought about by the pandemic.
Meanwhile, the Department of Education, provides the training needs of these school heads to fully capacitate them towards the full implementation of all the institution’s endeavor with its educational system. They also provide opportunities to assess office performance, though the Office Performance and Commitment Review Form or OPCRF as to whether they had achieved the government performance standards and targets or not. This OPCRF further provides feedback and technical assistance to them that will help them not only to increase their future potential as a leader and value to the company but provides effective action planning for future school performance improvement.
Truly, school principals work relentlessly in rendering service for the welfare of the school and its learners.
