SANTA ROSA CITY, Laguna  – Naghatid ang pamahalaang panlalawigan ng libreng pananghalian sa libo-libong residente mula sa pitong bayan sa lalawigan ng Laguna na labis na naapektuhan ng pagbaha.

Ilan sa mga nahatiran ng pagkain ngayong araw, Hulyo 24 ang mga residente mula sa lungsod ng Santa Rosa at Calamba at mga bayan ng Mabitac, Majayjay, Lumban, Victoria at Santa Cruz.

 

Sa pangunguna ni Governor Sol Aragones, nagtungo ang mga opisyal ng pamahalaang panlalawigan sa lungsod ng Santa Rosa upang personal na rin na alamin ang kalagayan ng mga residente na pansamantalang nanunuluyan sa evacuation center sa Purok 5, Barangay Sinalhan.

 

Hinikayat naman ni Aragones ang mga kababayan na maging matatag at lumaban lang sa buhay sapagkat matatapos din ang kalamidad, ang importante aniya ay magkakasama ang bawat isa gayundin ang pamahalaan sa pagharap sa pagsubok na ito.

 

“Laban lang, laban lang sa buhay, matatapos din ito, ang importante, magkakasama tayo, mayroon po kaming inihanda na kaunting tanghalian.”

 

Dagdag ni Aragones, “Ngayon po nagpapatuloy yung pagbibigay natin ng libreng tanghalian, pagpasensyahan niyo na po, limitado lang po ang meron tayo ngayon, yung mga sobrang affected na lugar, yun po muna ang mga pinuntahan natin ngayon.”

 

Bukod dito, nagtungo rin sa bayan ng Pila ang gobernador upang pangunahan ang pamamahagi ng food packs mula sa Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) para sa mga residente ng bayan.
