Laguna farmers, fisherfolks and families get presidential financial aid

STA. CRUZ, Laguna – Governor Ramil L. Hernandez, together with Congresswoman Ruth M. Hernandez, Department of Agriculture Region IV-A Regional Director Fidel Libao and Provincial Agriculturist Marlon P. Tobias, led the distribution of financial aid to farmers and fisherfolks on 30 September 2024 at the Laguna Sports Complex in Barangay Bubukal.
Cash aid of P17,420,000 under the Presidential Assistance for Farmers, Fisherfolks and Families (PAFFF) program of President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos, Jr. was distributed to a total of 1,742 individuals who were adversely affected by the recent El Niño phenomenon.
The beneficiaries, who were registered with the Laguna Provincial Agriculturist’s Office, received P10,000 each to help them recover from the crisis brought about by El Niño. (Photo by Jun Sapungan/Laguna PIO)
