KAHALAGAHAN NG ISANG DEMO FARM

Pinasalamatan ni City Administrator Larry S. Amante ang Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) sa pagtugon sa kahilingan ni Alkalde Vicente B. Amante na ang Seal of Good Local Governance (SGLG) Incentive Fund ay ipinagkaloob sa Pamahalaang Lungsod ng San Pablo. Ito ay bilang “Pagkilala sa Katapatan at Kahusayan ng Pamahalaang Lokal” sa Taong 2023 sa pagpapatayo at pagpapaunlad ng isang demonstration farm sa may hangganan ng Barangay San Jose at San Ignacio sa kaluwagan ng mga magtatanim ng Lungsod ng San Pablo. Ang demo farm ay pormal na ipinagkatiwala sa pamahalaang lokal at pinasinayan noong nakaraang Lunes ng umaga. Ipinahayag naman ni DILG-Region IV-A Director Ariel O. Iglesia na ang hiniling na proyekto ni Mayor Amante ay ang pagpapaunlad ng demo farm sapagkat ito ay isang pangunahing pangangailangan upang maitaas ang antas ng produksyon ng pagkain, at makatutulong upang matiyak na ang kapaligiran ay makakapag-imbak ng maraming carbon para mapabagal ang mabilis na pagtaas ng temperatura ng kapaligiran. Ito ay makatutulong na mapangalagaan ang kalusugan ng mga mamamayan at ng kapaligiran, dagdag pa niya. (Ruben E. Taningco)
