Since we are still facing the current COVID-19 pandemic, Col. Lauro D. Dizon Memorial Integrated High School conducted a virtual webinar about Back to Basics where all students were invited to attend. This webinar aims to provide additional knowledge on the Basic Lessons in Algebra that will help them understand their lessons in Mathematics. Mrs. Kirstie Marice R. Calabia from Grade 9 and Mrs. Marielle Kristin Joy A. Belen from Grade 7 were the speakers of the said webinar. They discussed the operations on integers and fractions which many are really confused.
The program together with the webinar was conducted via Zoom platform and was attended by 250 participants composed of Grade 7 to Grade 10 students, Mathematics Faculty, stakeholders and student interns of CLDDMIHS. The activity was also attended by the school Principal Mrs. Editha L. Fule, the San Pablo City Division EPS in Mathematics, Mrs. Ma. Filipina M. Drio and the school’s PTA President, Mrs. Alma A. Luce who all delivered messages and gave their commendations to the Mathematics Department headed by its Department Head, Mrs. Maria Shirley E. Montaña, for keeping up with the Department of Education’s battle cry to continue education amidst the pandemic. The students participated and actively answered the speakers’ questions and participated in the online activities. After the webinar, evaluation links were sent to the participants followed by the digital certificates of participation.
