Camp Vicente Lim, Calamba City – Police Regional Office CALABARZON Regional Director Brig Gen Carlito Gaces was conferred as Asia’s Outstanding Police Director during the just concluded Asia’s Golden Icon Awards (AGIA) held in Cebu City.
AGIA’S annual awards honors individuals and companies that have made a significant impact on the community or demonstrated excellence in their field.
Recognized as one of the most prestigious industry awards in the country, Asia’s Golden Icon Awards 2023 was held at the Pacific Grand Ballroom, Waterfront Hotel, Cebu City on Friday, June 2.
Backed by a notable organization dedicated to fostering public relations excellence and nation-building, Asia’s Golden Icon Awards 2023 recognizes successful campaigns of organizations, government sectors as well as individuals that define the Asia’s cutting-edge of work as transformational inclusive leaders in the 21st century.
In his acceptance speech Brig Gen Gaces thanked AGIA Council for the award and vowed to continue to serve the Filipino people.
Meanwhile, the Philippine National Police in partnership with City Mall Calamba City launches the National Police Clearance System at Barangay Bucal, Calamba Laguna.
Graced by the Director for Investigation and Detective Management, Maj Gen Eliseo Cruz as the guest of honor and speaker, he highlighted the importance of the National Police Clearance and the benefits it brings to both individuals and the community as a whole.
The National Police Clearance System aimed at streamlining the process of obtaining police clearances for individuals particularly for the residents of Calamba City. “By partnering with City Mall, we are expanding access to this essential service, ensuring convenience and efficiency for the residents of Calamba and nearby towns of Laguna province,” said Cruz.
During the ceremony, representatives from the City Government of Calamba through Mayor, Roseller Rizal, City Mall Commercial Center Inc., through the President, Mr. Ferdinand J Sia and the Regional Director for PNP CALABARZON Brig Gen Carlito Gaces who shared insights into the collaboration and its positive impact on public safety.
“The National Police Clearance service offers a comprehensive and reliable method for individuals to obtain their police clearances with ease. Through this partnership, residents of Calamba will have the convenience of accessing the service at City Mall, a central and accessible location within the city. This collaborative effort reflects our commitment to enhancing public services and ensuring the safety and well-being of our citizens,” Gaces said.
The ceremony featured a demonstration of the streamlined process, showcasing the steps involved in obtaining and the ceremonial printing of the National Police Clearance by the Calamba City Police.
