The suspects were identified by the aliases “Marine” and “Edwin,” and were arrested after being caught in the act of selling a sachet containing suspected shabu.

In addition, authorities also confiscated 14 sachets also containing shabu with a standard street value of around P2,210,000.

PRO4A Regional Director PBGen Jack L. Wanky commended the successful operation of the Santa Cruz MPS and encouraged the residents of CALABARZON to cooperate with authorities to eradicate the illegal drug trade and distribution in the region.

“I commend the Santa Cruz MPS and our partners from the PDEA for their effective coordination and dedication in fighting this societal scourge. I urge the public to continue supporting us by providing information and participating in government programs for a safe, peaceful, and drug-free community,” he said.

Meanwhile, the arrested individuals are currently in the custody of the Santa Cruz MPS while the appropriate charges are being prepared against them under Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
