iSTART sa Santa Rosa: Pagpapalalim sa agham, teknolohiya at inobasyon

Noong ika-13 ng Nobyembre 2023, isinagawa sa Lungsod ng Santa Rosa ang isang workshop para sa midterm assessment ng Innovation, Science and Technology for Accelerating Regional Technology-Based Development o iSTART, isang programa ng Department of Science and Technology (DOST).
Sa pangunguna ng mga teknikal na eksperto mula sa UPLB Department of Community and Environmental Resource Planning at DOST-CALABARZON, isinailalim sa pagsusuri ang Comprehensive Development Plan (CDP) ng lungsod, pati na rin ang Smart City Roadmap nito.
Pinamunuan ni Vice Mayor Arnold B. Arcillas ang pagsisimula ng workshop, habang aktibong dumalo at naki-isa ang mga kawani mula sa iba’t ibang departamento ng pamahalaang lungsod sa layuning tugunan ang mga pangunahing sektor na bahagi ng pag-unlad.  Binuksan din workshop ang masusing talakayan hinggil sa mga layunin, oportunidad, at estratehiya kaugnay ng bawat sektor.
Sa pamamagitan ng workshop, binigyan ng pagkakataon ang mga dumalo na matutunan kung paano maisasama sa kani-kanilang mga PPA o Programs, Projects, and Activities ang agham, teknolohiya, at inobasyon
na itinataguyod ng programa na iSTART.
Bukod dito, ang iSTART ay bahagi ng mga hakbangin ng lungsod patungo sa pagiging isang “Smart City,” kung saan ang agham, teknolohiya, at inobasyon ay nangunguna sa mga adhikain nito.(CIO Reymar)
