Camp Guillermo Sakay, Los Baños, Laguna –  The Regional Mobile Force Battalion 4A (RMFB 4A) once again proved its excellence in public service after being recognized as the Best Regional Mobile Force Battalion Nationwide for Calendar Year 2025 during the 124th Police Service Anniversary held at the PNP Transformation Oval, Camp BGen Rafael T. Crame, Quezon City, on August 12, 2025.

The award was proudly received by PCOL Samson B. Belmonte, Force Commander of RMFB 4A, under whose leadership the unit has consistently excelled in police operations, community partnership programs, and disaster response initiatives across CALABARZON.

“This award is not just for me, but for every member of RMFB 4A who risk their lives daily to ensure the safety and security of our communities in CALABARZON. It is a reflection of their hard work, sacrifices, and unwavering commitment to serve and protect,” Belmonte said.

The momentous ceremony was graced by His Excellency Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr., President of the Republic of the Philippines, who served as Guest of Honor and Speaker. The President lauded the PNP’s unwavering commitment to safeguarding the nation and highlighted the exemplary performance of outstanding units like RMFB 4A.

“The courage and dedication shown by our police officers are vital in building a safer and more progressive nation. I commend RMFB 4A for setting a high standard in police service and for being an inspiration to other units nationwide,” President Marcos remarked in his address.

RMFB 4A has long been recognized for its significant contributions to peace and order in CALABARZON, a region considered both an economic hub and a security-sensitive area due to its proximity to Metro Manila. The unit has successfully led various operations against criminality, insurgency, and illegal drugs, earning respect from local communities and government leaders.

Over the past year, RMFB 4A has intensified anti-criminality campaigns, provided rapid disaster response during typhoons and flooding, and implemented community-based programs such as medical missions, feeding activities, and livelihood support projects. These initiatives have strengthened trust between law enforcers and civilians.

“This recognition will inspire us to work even harder, especially as we continue to strengthen our partnership with the community in addressing crime and ensuring peace,” Belmonte emphasized.

Aside from combat and crime prevention operations, RMFB 4A also plays a crucial role in humanitarian assistance. During recent calamities in the CALABARZON region, the unit was among the first responders, providing search and rescue, evacuation, and relief distribution efforts to affected families.

Their visible presence in both security and community service underscores the PNP’s mantra of being a “protector and partner” of the people.

The recognition during the 124th Police Service Anniversary affirms RMFB 4A’s identity as a model force unit, embodying discipline, bravery, and compassion.

The celebration was attended by top PNP officials, government leaders, stakeholders, and partner organizations, all uniting in recognition of the Philippine National Police’s longstanding mission to protect and serve the Filipino nation.
