CALAMBA CITY  – Four more local government units (LGUs) in CALABARZON have been placed under a state of calamity as torrential rains continue from the enhanced Southwest Monsoon or Habagat.

Declared under calamity state are the towns of Agoncillo, Batangas as well as Cainta, Rodriguez, and San Mateo in Rizal Province.

 

The provincial government of Cavite said it will use its Php 15 million-Quick Response Fund to ensure aid for displaces families. Provincial officials on Tuesday had placed Cavite under state of calamity.

 

In Cainta, the Sangguniang Panlungsod approved its Resolution No. 2025-012 to formalize the calamity declaration due to the effects of Severe Tropical Storm Crising and the southwest monsoon. Local authorities have reported that the extreme weather has displaced families and disrupted the delivery of essential services in seven barangays.
