Biñan City officials takes oath; reaffirm dedicated, reliable public service

The newly-elected officials of the city government of Biñan have formally took their respective oath of offices this Friday, June 27 at Alonte Sports Arena, Biñan City.

Senate President Francis Chiz Escudero served as the guest of honor and officiated the oath-taking ceremony of Mayor Angelo Alonte and Vice Mayor-elect Jonalina Reyes.

While the winning 12 city councilors who will form the 7th Sangguniang Panlungsod took their oath of office with their barangay chairpersons.

In his inspirational message, Escudero urged all elected officials in Biñan and across the country to carry out their sworn duties with a strong commitment to truth, justice, freedom, and peace.

Mayor Alonte  then expressed his gratitude for the trust and support of his family, friends, and the people of Biñan who have elected him as local chief executive.

Alonte vowed to further improve the city’s education, health, and sports sectors, while also strengthening efforts to preserve Biñan’s rich history, culture, and arts.

Additionally, he committed to expanding social services for various sectors, including senior citizens and persons with disabilities, and promoting an inclusive and safe community for all, including the LGBTQ+ community.

Meanwhile, Vice Mayor Reyes vows to support the legislative agenda of Mayor Alonte in providing dependable public service to further improve the lives of Biñanenses. (via CMH, PIA-Laguna; MO, PIA4A)
